Watch: Alex Borg On How PN Can Win The Next General Election

Alex Borg said he is convinced the PN can win the next general election, but it needs to update the way it views politics and society.
At a campaign rally last night, Borg said that the “generational change” he is pledging isn’t limited to bringing newer and younger faces to the party.
“It’s about the way we project ourselves, get our message across, convince people, and view politics and society,” he said.
“You can be 70 years old and feel part of this generational change and you can be 30 and not feel part of it. However, I strongly believe that it can work in Malta, as it did in Gozo, and that it can lead us to win a general election.”
Borg said the PN must become more data-driven and base its political strategies and messaging on concrete numbers obtained from surveys.
“That will give us more precision and make sure our message is impacting the majority of people,” he said.
These are some other proposals that Borg announced during yesterday’s event.
-A national convention to discuss the state of Malta
-A greater political role for the PN’s sectional committees
-Renting the PN’s każini at market value
-Publish all the PN’s pending accounts within 100 days of taking charge
-The immediate appointment of an election campaign manager
-Incentivising MPs and candidates to meet people by linking their outreach to TV appearances
-The leader visiting a different town or village very week
-A digital revolution at MediaLink
-A Gozitan policy team
-A new youth think tank
-More investment in Elcom
