Watch: Alex Borg Plans New PN Podcast If He Is Elected Leader
Alex Borg said the Nationalist Party will launch its very own podcast if he is elected leader.
In an interview with Lovin Malta, Borg said a podcast could help the PN think outside the box and reach new audiences.
“Podcasts are very strong nowadays, even in Malta, and they sometimes have a larger reach than traditional media,” he said.
Borg confirmed that it will be hosted by someone who already has experience in podcasts, and that he plans to make an announcement in the near future.
In the interview, Borg also said he intends to appoint a social media team within MediaLink to ensure the PN’s messaging strategy is tailored to a range of social media platforms.
“There are different audiences on different platforms, and we must make sure our message reaches everyone,” he said.
Borg also plans a shake-up in more traditional on-the-ground political campaigning.
He proposed changing the format of the PN’s Sunday morning political meetings, suggesting they include informal meet-and-greet sessions with the leader in cafeterias, rather than limiting them to traditional speeches.
