Watch: Alex Borg Says PN Needs Soul-Searching Exercise To Find Out What It Stands For

PN MP Alex Borg has urged his party to undergo a soul-searching exercise to clearly define what it stands for.
During an interview on Xtra, Borg dismissed suggestions that the PN’s problems start and end with its leader Bernard Grech and called for a concerted team effort.
“I recently attended a number of conferences overseas and I could see a trend in the EU, which is unfortunate to a certain point, where far-right parties, such as the AfD in Germany, are getting stronger,” Borg said.
“Meanwhile, centre-right parties are getting weaker because they have lost their ideology, while the far-right have one – like it or hate it.”
“The PN cannot go far-right but we must show people what we believe in. We must be different from the PL but at the same time, we must show people what we believe in.”
“If the PL does something right, we must acknowledge it, and if it does something wrong, we must criticise them in a constructive way.”
