Watch: Archbishop Scicluna Calls Out Israel For Killing Thousands Of Children In Strong Homily

Malta’s Archbishop Charles Scicluna has called out Israel for killing thousands of children in its ongoing Gaza war.
“While we must condemn those who killed 1,400 innocent Israeli victims, we must also condemn those who have caused the death of 10,000 Palestinians, including 4,000 children and babies,” Scicluna said in a homily to mark Remembrance Day.
“How can you say these 4,000 children and babies are terrorists? How can you have the gall to say that? When we lose our sense of humanity and proportion, we fall into this sense of foolishness that the Lord condemns and for which we will be held accountable.”

Scicluna then turned to Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who recently justified the Gaza campaign by quoting a famous biblical line that “there is a time for peace and a time for war”.
“My response is that there is no time for forgetting about humanity and human dignity,” he said.
“There may be a time for peace and war but there is no time when you are authorised to forget the humanity of other people, whoever you are and however righteous your cause is, there is proportion and justice and the demands of humanity. Otherwise, we fall victims to barbarianism.”
