Watch: As Fireworks Fly Into The Air During Gżira Festa, Blaze Erupts On Manoel Island
A blaze erupted on Manoel Island last night as fireworks from the Gżira village feast flew into the air in the evening.
Footage sent to Lovin Malta at around 9:20pm shows the grasslands of the iconic Manoel Island on fire as fireworks adorned the sky, as blue lights flash from beneath the flames.
On 10th July, the locality of Gżira celebrates its feast, for ‘Our Lady of Mount Carmel’.
Lovin Malta reached out to the Civil Protection Department to enquire on the matter, however, the department could not confirm whether there was a fire.
The media spokesperson for the police also told Lovin Malta that they were not aware of any fires that took place in the area last night.
