Watch: ‘Bernard Grech Refused To Hurt His Adversaries’ – PN Strategist

PN strategist George Vital Zammit, who has been tasked with writing the party’s electoral manifesto, praised outgoing leader Bernard Grech for his “exceptional human values”.
Interviewed on NET, Zammit said that Grech had rejected advice to attack his political adversaries in a manner that he knew would hurt them on a personal level.
“There were moments when someone would tell him that he could respond in a certain way to an adversary.”
“If his calculations showed that his behaviour would end up hurting that person, he wouldn’t do it. He simply wouldn’t do it.”
“He never wanted to reach a point where he would hurt someone with his actions.”
Zammit described Grech as an “emotive” leader, who truly cared about people’s emotional wellbeing.
“I felt comfortable working with him because I know he is a genuine man of integrity.”
In politics, everyone wants to win, but when a man respond to the call, they do all they can, and BG did. Once you’re in politics, you lose your personal agenda and free time and you pay a price for it, as BG did. He had exceptional human values.
