Watch: Bormla Risen Christ Statue Runners Hit MEP Candidate In The Shoulder
A PL MEP candidate got hit in the shoulder as she attempted to film a video selfie of the traditional run of the Risen Christ in Bormla this morning.
Claudette Abela Baldacchino visited Bormla today to witness the Easter Sunday tradition.
However, she stood too close to the runners and got accidentally hit in the shoulder, with her phone flying out of her hands.

A symbol of joy, the traditional run, which sees a group of men run through the streets carrying a massive statue of the Risen Christ, is one of Malta’s most beloved Easter traditions.
Besides Bormla, it is also a tradition in towns like Mosta and St Julian’s.
