Watch: Colossal Cloud Rolled Across Gozo As Malta Experienced ‘Atmospheric Tsunami’

While a number of seaside towns across Malta experienced a surreal “atmospheric tsunami” this week, Gozo was experiencing one of its own – just up in the sky.

What looked like a “tsunami cloud” rolled over the sister island’s capital city yesterday in what was very reminiscent of the shelf clouds and arcus formations which went viral just last week in Ohio.

The formation, known as a ‘roll cloud’, left people across Gozo staring at the sky, and feeling a sudden drop in temperature.

And just this morning, a heavy fog descended across the sister island, with the Gozo ferry practically invisible

Yesterday, a phenomenon known as il-milgħuba in Maltese, hit several shores across the island, with the sea levels rising higher than normal.
