WATCH: Crowds Start Gathering Outside Heavily-Secured Parliament Ahead Of 7 PM Castille Protest

Crowds have already started to gather in Valletta following the political crisis that has erupted after a string of resignations, including Minister Konrad Mizzi and the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff Keith Schembri.
People are currently stationed outside parliament, which is under heavy security with swathes of barriers preventing the group and passers-by to get anywhere near the building.
The crowd came to Valletta early to voice their discontent with the current situation ahead of a protest taking place outside of Castille at 7 pm.
Despite the repeated shouts of ‘korrotti’, the chaos inside the parliament building which was suspended after a furore broke following PN Leader Adrian Delia’s demand for an urgent debate calling for Prime Minister Joseph Muscat’s resignation.
“We’re in an unprecedented constitutional and institutional crisis,” he said.
“Chris Cardona has been suspended and Konrad Mizzi and Keith Schembri have resigned in light of the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia. The Prime Minister’s ability to exercise his constitutional functions have been definitively compromised and he isn’t in a position to take decisions for the country’s sake and he must resign immediately.”
Speaker Anglu Farrugia is yet to make a decision on whether the debate will take place. However, Muscat has re-entered the house with a group of MPs surrounding him.
