WATCH: ‘Daphne Was At Least Partly Justified’: Delia Describes Caruana Galizia As An ‘Investigative Journalist’

PN Leader Adrian Delia described Daphne Caruana Galizia as an “investigative journalist” who was “at least partly justified” on the stories she wrote when speaking to Lovin Malta.

The PN Leader had once referred to Caruana Galizia as a ‘biċċa blogger’ when she wrote extensively about his ties to a Jersey bank account that was used to funnel proceeds from a prostitution ring in Soho.

Earlier, Delia called for Prime Minister Joseph Muscat to resign but seemed to hold little faith in the remaining cabinet members who could take his position.

“Do you see how they voted in the confidence vote for Muscat? That should give you an answer,” he said when asked whether he had faith in anyone else within the Cabinet

On the case itself, he said Muscat needed to resign and allow institutions to function. Meanwhile, when it came to Yorgen Fenech, Delia was steadfast in saying that he no relationship with the suspect.

“Absolutely not,” Delia said when asked by Lovin Malta whether Fenech had ever donated to his campaigns.

Earlier this year, the PN landed itself in hot water when Kristy Debono and Hermann Schiavone were revealed to had met Fenech to sponsor a conference room to the party. Schiavone was the only one to step down. However, he has since been reinstated to the PN Parliamentary group.

It remains to be seen what sort of action Delia will take with regards to the pair.

Recently, Delia was angrily confronted by Daphne’s sister when he went to place flowers on the journalist’s makeshift memorial in Valletta, with her supporters still furious with Delia’s issues with her.
