Watch: Delays Reported At Malta International Airport After Plane Incident On Runway
Malta International Airport experienced some delays after an incident with a small plane on the runway.
Footage sent to Lovin Malta shows the aircraft with its nose dipped on the runway as MIA’s rescue services approached the plane however it is not clear what happened.
“Also right now the airport is closed due to the incident that occurred on the runway right now,” the pilot can be heard telling the passengers on the flight.

Malta International Airport issued a statement confirming an incident involving a light aircraft occurred today at 12.19pm on the main runway.
By 1.18 pm the incident site had been cleared and normal operations were reinstated.
Malta International Airport also apologised for any inconvenience this incident may have caused.
No injuries have been reported.
