Watch: Donald Trump Launches Sneaker Line After Judge Orders Him To Pay $355 Million
Former US President Donald Trump has launched his own line of Trump-branded shoes… Bet this wasn’t on your 2024 bingo card!
On Saturday, Trump appeared at Sneaker Con, a convention for sneaker fans in Philadelphia. His appearance elicited mixed reactions, with many booing loudly while others cheered as he presented the product.
Trump’s gold-coloured shoes are currently retailing for about $399 on a new website, which has named the product the “Never Surrender High-Top Sneaker.”
This business move follows a judge’s ruling the previous day, ordering him to pay nearly $355 million to New York State for providing false information regarding the value of his properties.
“This is something I’ve been talking about for 12 years, 13 years, and I think it’s going to be a big success,” said Trump, who is progressing closer to securing the 2024 Republican nomination and potentially setting up a rematch with President Joe Biden.
Just a few hours after the product was launched, the 1,000 pairs of $399 sneakers available for purchase on the website were listed as Sold Out.
Trump also launched another two pairs of sneakers that have “T” and “45” on the sides, retailing at $199, according to the website. Cologne and perfume are also sold at $99 each.
According to the website, “Trump Sneakers are not designed, manufactured, distributed or sold by Donald J. Trump, The Trump Organization or any of their respective affiliates or principals. 45Footwear, LLC uses the Trump name, image and likeness under a license agreement.”
