Watch: Drivers Stuck In Traffic Across Central Malta As Roundabouts Jam-Packed With Vehicles

Commuters attempting to use Malta’s roads this morning were greeted with long lines of traffic and unmoving queues of gridlocked vehicles.
Drivers were forced to make some strange manoeuvres to make it through traffic this morning, dodging broken down cars, bumper to bumper crashes and backed up lanes.

At the Ta’ Buqana roundabout, between Rabat, Mgarr and Mosta, the lane from Mosta to Rabat was closed off, forcing large trucks to drive across four lanes to get back on the road. Other drivers were forced to wait and watch during the morning peak traffic hour as more and more cars piled up.
Road officers attempted to control the flow of traffic at the roundabout at the top of Constitution Street, Mosta, linking the central town to the north of Malta. However, with roadworks underway and a number of lanes closed, all it took was one or two vehicles to break down to halt traffic.
Traffic in Maltese roads continues to be a major headache for commuters and drivers, with seemingly more cabs and drivers on the roads every day.
