Watch: Explosion At Firework Factory In Kirkop Still In Dangerous Condition
An explosion at San Ġużepp fireworks factory in Kirkop has rattled nearby residencies early this morning and it is still in a dangerous condition.
A large column of smoke can be spotted from as far as Għaxaq, Mqabba, Tarxien, Marsaskala, Siġġiewi and Żebbuġ.
While residents from Sliema and Birkirara were able to hear the explosion just after 7am.
The Civil Protection Department is currently on site checking and the area has been confirmed to still be dangerous with fireworks still going off. Until now, there is no information on whether there have been any injuries.
