Newly surfaced footage captured over the last weekend reveals a sizeable group of teenagers taking over the prominent Bisazza Street in Sliema.

The Sliema Local Council recently published the alarming footage, which was acquired from a resident who witnessed the scene unfolding.

“It has been brought to the local council’s attention that over the past weekends, groups of teenagers have been vandalizing street furniture, being excessively loud, and even fighting between themselves in Bisazza street,” the council said on social media.

The video, which was uploaded with the consent of a Sliema resident who lives in the area, shows a large group of teenagers pushing each other and fighting.

“The residents have been very concerned about these incidents and have contacted the Sliema police, who although have responded to numerous calls, unfortunately, do not have the necessary manpower to deal with such a large number of teenagers,” it lamented.

“We appeal to the competent authorities to enforce the law and protect our residents from this constant nuisance.”

“We hope that the authorities will not wait for a serious incident to happen before action is taken.”

Lovin Malta has reached out to Sliema Mayor John Pillow for a comment on the matter.
