A fire has broken out in a building within the Mrieħel Industrial Estate. 

Footage and images sent to Lovin Malta show a large plume of black smoke above the building.

CPD officials confirmed that there is a fire in the area, but could not give further details while the operation is underway. 

It is as yet unclear what caused the fire. People are encouraged to avoid the area.
