Watch: Flames Engulf Luqa Fields Next To Residential Area During Fireworks Display
A number of fields right next to a residential area in Luqa ended up engulfed in flames over the weekend during the fireworks display.
Shocking footage sent exclusively to Lovin Malta shows the moment multiple fields burst into flames as the fireworks display proceeded above.
A resident of the area sent the video at around 11.15pm on Saturday night, taken just a few metres from the flames, which were right next to residential properties.
Police told Lovin Malta that no one was injured in the ordeal and that members from the Civil Protection Department handled the flames.
Even though the fireworks were ongoing above, Police have said that it is unknown what caused the flames.
