Infrastructure Malta is the agency entrusted with the development, maintenance and upgrading of the road network and other public infrastructure in the Maltese Islands.

The first two flyovers have just opened, with the underlying structures now next on the agenda.

Infrastructure Malta said that it set up the live feed after a number of requests from architects and engineers who were interested in closely following the build.

“Whilst visiting the site is not normally possible due to safety reasons, these cameras are bringing the ongoing works closer to the project’s main stakeholders, including nearby residents and over 100,000 road users who travel through this junction every day,” Infrastructure Malta said in a statement.

At present, workers are setting up the steel beams that will support the third flyover.

The Marsa Junction Project includes the development of a new multi-level intersection to replace the Addolorata traffic lights system with 12 kilometres of uninterrupted lanes, creating a more efficient link between the north and south.

Road users travelling through this junction in the coming days are encouraged to take note of the yellow direction signs guiding them to the new route up the new flyovers.
