Malta is the land of ftira – but one hole-in-the-wall eatery down a slanting Valletta side road is taking the humble Maltese bread (and the requisite fillings) to the absolute next level.

Among their absolute units featuring pulled pork, pastrami, sriracha mayo chicken and so many more, Grano’s overflowing Mortadella, Burrata and Pistachio ftira is seriously one to write home about.

Lovin Malta hit the capital’s streets in the latest episode of Lovin Bites to get a taste of the glorious ftira – check it out below before hitting up your crush to mark those calendars for a trip to the city.

Lovin Bites is the newest foodie spin-off series all about honing in on one particular, mind-blowing dish on the island.

Check out some of the previous episodes below and let us know which restaurant and dish needs to appear in an upcoming show.
