Watch: ‘Grech Resignation Rumours Were Timed To Disrupt Our Fundraiser’ – PN Secretary General

PN secretary general Charles Bonello claimed that recent rumours of Bernard Grech’s resignation were intentionally timed to disrupt the party’s latest fundraiser.
“This week’s attack on the PN and its leader must be placed in perspective. It wasn’t a coincidence but it was timed to make our telethon fail.”
“The Labour Party knows that if one of our telethons fails, we will face enormous operational problems in the coming months.”

“The goal was clear – to spark rumours, fuel uncertainty, and demoralise people in the hope that the marathon would collapse and the PN would face operational setbacks.”
“However, Nationalists rise to challenges and they did so again last weekend.”
The PN ended up raising €329,882 in last weekend’s fundraiser, while a PL telethon over the weekend raised €721,318.
