WATCH: HIV+ Man Asks For Hugs In Valletta And Gets Some Heartwarming (And Heartbreaking) Reactions

Would you hug a person who is HIV positive?

That’s the question Christian Vincent, an HIV+ gay man, asked the public on a windy day last week in Valletta, Malta.

The Danish activist wanted to challenge stereotypes and stigma surrounding the virus in Malta – and the responses he got from the public ranged from heartwarming to heartbreaking.
