Watch: ‘I Miss The UK In This Hemicycle,’ Roberta Metsola Says
European Parliament President Roberta Metsola said that she misses the United Kingdom in the institution’s hemicycle and looks forward to a renewed relationship with the country now being led by a new Labour government.
“I always hope,” Metsola quickly responded when asked if she hopes the country will one day rejoin the EU.
She went on to state that she actually knew Keir Starmer before he became the country’s new Prime Minister and admitted that people in his team used to work in the European Parliament.
“I’m looking forward to a renewed relationship.”
