Maltese contestant Luke Debono has made quite the impression on the British reality show Married at First Sight, especially with his explicit reaction upon seeing his bride for the first time.
In true Maltese fashion, Luke couldn’t help exclaim “Il-Alla Madonna!” as he laid eyes on Amy Victoria Kenyon, his soon-to-be wife, later describing her as “magical and gorgeous.”

Luke, who works as a prison education manager, shared his excitement on Instagram before the episode aired.
“I never imagined I’d be getting married to a complete stranger, but here we are!” he posted.
The 31-year-old, who describes himself as a “traditional gentleman,” embraced the unexpected moment, saying it felt like “the right thing, at the right time, in the right place with the right person.”
For those unfamiliar, Married at First Sight is a British reality show where complete strangers are paired up by experts and meet for the first time at the altar.
The show follows their journey as they try to navigate married life with a total stranger.
