Watch: ‘I’m Not Joking’ – Lecturer Wants Peppi Azzopardi To Be Anointed A Saint
University lecturer and radio host Andrew Azzopardi said that he intends to propose Peppi Azzopardi for sainthood when the popular journalist dies.
“When he dies, unless I die before him, I will request that he becomes a saint, without the need for him to perform miracles because he has already performed them,” Azzopardi said on his RTK show yesterday when interviewing Times of Malta journalist Mark Laurence Zammit, who used to work with Peppi on Xarabank.
“I am serious about this. He performed so many miracles, many of which we are unaware of. I’m convinced of this… I’m no believer but I’ll go where I need to go, write a letter and say he should be beatified and then made a saint or whatever the process is.”
“I’m not joking. When you love people who rob you or say nasty things about your wife, it means you either lost your mind or you have extraordinary attributes of empathy.”
