Curmi dominated the game, beating her opponent and showing everyone just how capable and impressive a tennis-player she was developing into.

She also beat the Swiss tennis player Leonie Kung is her previous qualifying match 6-7, 6-3 and 6-2. She was ranked at 459 in the WTA world rankings after that win.

Her coach Mathew Asciak said that Francesca will find out who her next opponents will be in the main round of 64 players tomorrow evening when the ballots are called. Her first game in the Roland Garros Juniors will be on Sunday 3rd June.

In a span of mere months, Francesca has gone from being in the top 80 junior tennis players in the world, to the top 60. She’s risen nearly 2,000 places in ranking in the two years since her debut.
