Tourism Minister Clayton Bartolo recently addressed concerns regarding Film Commissioner Johann Grech’s participation in a 10-minute promotional film that was featured earlier this week
In a conversation with Andrew Azzopardi this morning, Bartolo expressed his agreement that Grech should not have taken a role in the video.

“I spoke to him and ensured that this will not happen again,” Bartolo stated, noting that professional actors should have been used instead.
Despite this issue, the minister praised the Film Commissioner and his ongoing work.
When Azzopardi inquired about the rumoured expense of half a million euros for the film, the minister did not confirm the figure and declined to comment on the exact number.
Bartolo also highlighted the promotional film’s role in showcasing Malta as a potential location for future films and reiterated its continued use in promoting the country.
The minister also assured a detailed report of the expenses would be released soon.
