WATCH: ‘It’s Never Enough To Say We’re Not Racist’ – Rosianne Cutajar Heads Star-Studded Anti-Racism Video
Labour MP and Parliamentary Secretary for Equality & Reforms Rosianne Cutajar took to Facebook this morning to post an empowering anti-racism video featuring a plethora of local celebrities.
The video starts off with clips of racist attacks happening overseas, finishing off with the harrowing footage of George Floyd’s murder.
The footage proceeds to focus on a number of local celebrities as they each speak in favour of racial equality. Amongst these are X Factor Malta winner Destiny Chukunyere, local comedy duo Danusan, and journalist Peppi Azzopardi, who all have anti-racism messages related to their relevant industries.
Cutajar herself concludes the video with a call to unite against discrimination.
“It is never enough to say we are not racist,” she claims. “We must be active against whoever attempts to divide us. We need to listen, and to learn from the stories of those who have been victims of racism. We are all human. We are all equal.”
The video has already been extremely well-received by the MP’s social media followers, amassing over 150 reactions in just over an hour.
