Watch: Jet Skiers Randomly Spot Rotting Tuna Carcass Floating In St Paul’s Bay Waters

Jet-skiers riding the waves of St Paul’s Bay were met with a strange sight yesterday evening after happening upon what appeared to be a large, dead tuna fish.
Footage sent to Lovin Malta shows the fish capsized and floating in the blue, recorded by a group of friends while enjoying some time out at sea.
“It took us by surprise,” said Hugo, one of the Jet-skiers. “It must have been around two to three meters long.”

This is not the first time a tuna carcass randomly appeared on the Maltese shores, with several tuna washing up in the passing years, leading to one pair of Maltese men tying one tuna to a jetski, while another pair of men were filmed struggling to lift their massive find onto the shore.
A grown tuna can land its seller several thousands of euros on the international market, if not tens or even hundreds of thousands if the conditions are right.
Presently, the reason why large dead fish are being washed up along the coast remains unclear.
What would you do if you saw a dead tuna float by?
