Labour TV host Karl Stagno Navarra warned that some people wanted him to end his own life when he testified in court that he had contemplated suicide.

“I am offended,” Stagno Navarra said in a video. “When I recently admitted that I was close to suicide, some people laughed it off. I can now say that some people literally seemed to enjoy trying to push me down that path.”

“I will seek psychological help because I am at a crossroads and I can’t withstand the continuous pressure that has been building up for years due to persecution from an obvious camp. The cruelty against me from the PN and its exponents is incredible.”

Stagno Navarra said in court that he contemplated suicide after feeling threatened by a creditor who chased him for unpaid debts. He ended up reporting the creditor, Jean Pierre Schembri, to the police, who charged him with threatening and harassing Stagno Navarra, and remanded him in custody.

The PL broadcaster hit out at political pundit and surgeon Kevin Cassar, who described him as a “serial fraudster” in a recent Times article.

“I am warning you that I will hold you responsible for my mental health,” Stagno Navarra told Cassar.
