Watch: Large Dead Tuna Heaved Onto Għadira Shore After Storming Into Bay

A tuna which cause an absolute scene at Għadira Bay this afternoon when it frantically swam into the shallows has now died, Lovin Malta can confirm.
After scaring away beachgoers who weren’t expecting it to storm into the popular bay, the large fish got stuck on a shallow rocky part, triggering a makeshift rescue operation as some bystanders brainstormed ways of trying to get it loose. However, others could be heard shouting back that the tuna was unfortunately beyond being rescued.
In videos sent to Lovin Malta moments ago, the tuna was eventually spotted motionless as people tugged it and helped each other to bring it up to shore.

At the time of writing, it is not yet known whether any authorities have been called to help pick up and dispose of the tuna.
