WATCH: Emotional Karl Stagno Navarra Urges Joseph Muscat’s Loyal Supporters To Light A Candle For Embattled Prime Minister

If you thought the last week and a half in Malta sometimes verged on the absurd, you clearly didn’t watch Pjazza on ONE last night.

After lamenting the fact that tomorrow’s planned PL political activity in Fgura had been postponed, host Karl Stagno Navarra offered up a solution to all of those who were feeling disappointed that they weren’t going to hear Joseph Muscat speak, and it’s, well… pretty enlightening.

“I want you to light a candle and place it in your windows tonight, so that you can show your heart to Joseph Muscat.”

Through this action, you’d be showing solidarity with the Prime Minister, Stagno Navarra went on to say.

Maltese people sometimes leave candles dedicated to religious figures and other important figures in their life on windowsills and niches, but it didn’t take long for people and politicians to call this ‘surreal’ ploy out.

One person even had a bit of fun with it and jokingly set up a Joseph shrine as Stagno Navarra gave instructions in the background.

Tag someone who needs to light a candle and place it on their windowsill.
