Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne has called a COVID-19 related press conference for 11am.

Fearne announced earlier today that healthcare staff will be subject to increased testing following news that a 54-year-old male healthcare worker working shifts at both Mater Dei and Mount Carmel Hospital has been infected with COVID-19.

There are a total of 241 cases of COVID-19 in Malta. The number will grow after Superintendent for Public Health Charmaine Gauci’s press conference later today.
