Watch: Maltese Cat Fosterer Breaks Down Crying While Issuing Heartbreaking Plea For Help
In a heartbreaking clip, a local cat fosterer doing everything within her power to help felines in need broke down crying while issuing a desperate plea for help.
Miriam Borg Debrincat from Kitty Guardians For Strays has been working tirelessly to provide a future for stray cats that would otherwise be left for dead.
Borg Debrincat detailed how they’ve completely run out of funds, and explained how guilty they feel when they have to reject new cats.
“Today is one of those days – full of sadness and anxiety – unfortunately, we are in a really bad situation right now,” she said as her eyes filled with tears.
“We have absolutely no funds left, and new cases are coming in every day, cases that we cannot help, and we feel guilty to tell them to call Animal Welfare,” she said as she sobbed.
“When we tell people to call Animal Welfare, they tell us, ‘they’ll put them down for sure’,” she said, as she turned the camera towards some of their current cases.
“This one kitten, she’s not even 10 weeks old, and she has to get her paw amputated.”
Borg Debrincat continued to show viewers their current cases, explaining each cat’s individual situation and calling for fosterers.
“Other fosterers are struggling too, and no one feels safe enough to call Animal Welfare. And who’s suffering? The cats are,” she said concluding the video.
“We need more support.”
