Watch: ‘I Was In Shock All Day’ – Maltese Woman Startled After Truck Drops Bricks Right In Front Of Her
A Maltese woman was left in utter shock and shaking all day after a van dropped bricks right in front of her, mere metres away from her car.
Dashcam footage shared exclusively with Lovin Malta shows what could have become a very serious accident after a truck dropped bricks right in front of her car.
“Yesterday I was driving to work from my house, and as I was approaching the stop sign to enter Triq id-Dejma, a van turned the corner from the opposite direction and bricks fell right off into my lane,” the woman told Lovin Malta.
“If I was not quick and alert, he could have injured me severely,” she expressed.
“I stopped and so did he but he never asked if I was okay or apologised, he simply picked up the bricks and drove off. I was in utter shock for the whole day,” she said.
The incident occurred yesterday at around 8.45am in Triq il-Fieres, Ħal Tarxien.
If she hadn’t managed to act so quickly and slam her brakes, the incident could have quickly turned fatal, raising questions on whether bricks are being properly secured during transportation.
