Watch: Man Assaults Two Police Officers As He’s Dragged Off Bus In Qawra Terminus

At least two officers were assaulted by a man who refused to cooperate with them as they attempted to escort him off a bus in Qawra.

In footage revealed by Lovin Malta, the man, who did not want to pay his bus fare, can be seen being escorted off the bus by two police officers.

However, the man turns aggressive, fighting with the two officers as a struggle ensues.

The three men eventually make it off the bus – but the fight continues outside, as the individual punches officers in the face. One officer brandishes his baton as a crowd of onlookers watches.

Police told Lovin Malta that the incident happened at around 12.30pm in Triq it-Turisti, Qawra.

The two officers sustained injuries during the assault, as well as potential damage to their uniforms.

The man was reported as being both physically as well as verbally aggressive. He has since been remanded in custody and police investigations into the attack are underway.
