WATCH: Man Attempts Last-Second Overtaking Manoeuvre In Marsa, Ends Up Flying Through The Air
A video has been posted to social media showing a very rash man’s decision to overtake a number of cars at high speed in the worst way possible. A man who was driving along Triq Dicembru 13 in Marsa ended up hitting a ramp and undertaking an unplanned mid-air spin after he realises he won’t be able to make the manoeuvre – halfway through the manoeuvre.
“I left that road a few minutes after the crash,” says Stefano Russello, who recorded the video on his dashcam. “I was seeing if other people were stuck in the car, but he was alone luckily. When he got out he was speaking Maltese, which I don’t understand, and he was touching his elbow, probably because he had hurt it during the crash.”
“I hope this video can help people to drive better and safely,” he says.
This embarrassing showcase of hardheadedness left no injuries, apart from to the driver’s pride, who can be seen crawling from the wreckage. A large amount of traffic formed as the debris was cleared and the damaged car removed.
Let this be a lesson to all cowboys on the road: no matter how special you think you are, even you will eat a ramp if you pull some bullshit on the busy Maltese roads.
