Watch: Man Launches Barrier At Paceville Club Security As ‘Gang Members’ Continue Targeting Venues

Security working at a mainstay clubbing establishment in Paceville chased a number of individuals down a packed street following a violent incident right outside the club’s doors.

In footage of the incident, which happened last night, a number of men can be seen shouting and gesturing at Club Havana security before things turn ugly.

In the ensuing chaos, one of the men grabs someone by the neck, while others push forward as security attempt to hold them back as another man wearing black begins throwing punches at the security.

Eventually, one man picks up an entire barrier advertising the newly opened Club Cuba, and slams it down on a number of people. At this, security break rank and begin chasing the aggressors down the street as they flee.

Speaking to Lovin Malta, a Havana manager said this is a serious and ongoing problem club owners are facing, and that they’ve dealt with incidents like this before, oftentimes stemming from “gangs” in the area.

He confirmed that though the club didn’t sustain any monetary damages in this case, a number of security personal did sustain slight bruises from the incident.

“We need more police presence in this major busy clubbing street – this could have been avoided,” Jonathan Grima told Lovin Malta. “I’ve advised authorities about these threats many times before, and though they have increased the RIU patrols recently, it’s still not enough to cover the area.”

And when security take steps to ban certain troublesome individuals, it often backfires, with the individuals targeting individual security – in some cases, security members have even been stalked and followed home after their shift ends in the early hours of the morning.

Just a few weeks ago, a security official even filed a police report after they were informed that a number of individuals were planning to “beat up” certain security while at work.

This is not the first time the club found itself being attacked – back in 2020, the club sustained over €2,500 in damages after a gang brawl “targeted” the club in a coordinated incident.

In that incident, two Syrian men holding Bulgarian identity cards were charged with causing property damages and being drunk in public – but were let off on bail.
