An explosion and fire broke out at a factory in Triq l-Imgieret in Marsa late last night.

Police were notified about the incident at around 12:00 am and arrived at the scene shortly after along with CPD. Luckily no one was in the building at the time and the fire was contained. The factory has since been closed off.

Video footage sent to Newsbook MT shows the explosion taking place.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
