WATCH: Mini Tidal Wave Forms In Swieqi As Bus Tries To Navigate Flooded Roads
As roads become rivers all over the island – especially the northern and eastern coasts – one Swieqi road became so flooded that a mini tidal wave formed as a bus tried to pass by.
In a video posted by Free Hour Malta’s Instagram page, a bus can be seen trying to navigate the relatively deep waters forming in the roads of Sliema – and it sure looks, well…. wet AF.
We’re not saying its surfing level weather yet, but let’s just say we’ve got our surfboards at the ready.
The water, which is up to the middle of the bus’ tyres, seems set to remain at that depth as the forecast thunderstorm that hit Malta today has yet to stop.
