Watch: Multiple Vehicle Crashes Reported In Marsa And Mġarr As Heavy Traffic Accumulates
Multiple vehicle crashes just happened a few moments ago in Mġarr and Marsa as heavy traffic continues to accumulate across the Maltese islands.
Footage sent to Lovin Malta show many vehicles involved in both crashes, which occurred just minutes apart.
The first crash occurred at around 9.30am just outside the St Venera tunnels heading towards Marsa, as at least three cars and one motorcycle were involved in the collision.
Malta Road Traffic Updates reported that officials from Transport Malta, Civil Protection Department and a medical team were called on site to assist, warning that heavy traffic is expected.
Meanwhile, just a few minutes later at around 9.33am, another crash occurred along the Mġarr bypass, direction heading towards Mosta.
At least four vehicles were involved in the crash, which was seemingly caused by a car trying to overtake within the single lane road.
Police confirmed that no injuries were sustained during any of the crashes.
Delays are expected due to the traffic buildup.
