Watch: New Close Up Footage Shows Lions Pacing In Naxxar Cage
Lovin Malta has received extremely close up footage of some of the lions that were recently discovered living in poor conditions in a Naxxar property.
The footage was taken around a month ago and shows the lions pacing around the cage, chasing each other, and approaching the person filming them from behind closed bars.

The shocking case of neglect of four lions and panther was recently flagged by the Vuċi Għall-Annimali movement after it received a report about the animals from a passer-by and reported it to the authorities. The animals had reportedly been neglected for such a long time that one lion was found to have been eaten by the others.
As Malta doesn’t have a sanctuary equipped for large cats, the animals are being kept on site for the time being, with police officers instructed to keep passers-by away from the area.
