Watch: ‘Newly-Built’ Road In Marsaxlokk Floods In Sudden Downpour
Footage of a road in Marsaxlokk flooded following today’s rains is being shared by local residents – with some slamming the fact that the road was actually newly built.
“It’s incredible that a new road, one that had months spent on it, floods in this way,” one resident said. “Is this how roads are built in Marsaxlokk? I can’t even imagine what’s going to happen in winter.”
“I would appreciate it if the council, for once, takes the necessary action,” the man continued.
Today’s downpour of rain caused issues in other localities as well. A balcony collapsed in Gżira on a pavement near a busy main road, even though it had been flagged to authorities at least nine months earlier.
