A woman has shared the struggles that a small business owner in St Julian’s is facing following the collapse of Tania Flats.

Malta_luxury_living shared a video on TikTok of Siam Wellness Centre which is situated right in front of the collapsed Tania Flats.

“Imagine working hard all year, dreaming of summer… in Malta. And then a building collapses in front of your store. No one comes anymore. It’s not your fault but you’re the one paying the price,” the video reads.

Siam Wellness Centre is one of many local businesses hit hard by the effects of the collapse. Earlier this month, Lovin Malta interviewed the owner of JL Hotels who has lost over €200,000 due to construction and a collapse in two consecutive peak seasons.

Destroyed views and sudden evacuations have caused some serious damage to businesses in the busy area, leaving many owners limbo about their – and their employees – livelihoods.
