Watch: Officials Search For Bidnija Murder Weapon In Nearby Fields
Officials are still searching for the firearm used to kill entrepreneur Jean Paul Busuttil after a minor traffic collision.
Footage published by TVMNews shows police officials searching for the weapon in nearby fields under the scorching sun. It is understood that police are facing great difficulty in locating the weapon due to the area being densely covered in bamboo.
This tragic muder marked the first homicide of 2025 and it occurred at 6.30am on Sunday when a motorcycle and car collided on the main road of Bidnija which winds through the countryside.
After this collision, the 46-year-old motorcyclist went home to retrieve his gun, he used this to shoot Busuttil.
Busuttil attempted to drive himself to hospital but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries on the way.
