Watch: Passenger Assaults And Insults Bus Driver In Paola As Police Called In
Police were called in after a man physically assaulted a bus driver in Paola this morning.
In a three-part series of videos uploaded to TikTok moments ago by user sherm.1423, the man can be seen shouting at the bus driver and demanding that he open the door.
He can be heard swearing in the driver’s face, subjecting him to a stream of insults, including “filthy Indian animal”, “ugly”, “clown”, “rubbish”, and “bastard”, and eventually even physically assaulting him.

At one point, the driver says he is calling the police and will only open the door when they arrive, but this only made the passenger even more aggressive.
The passenger can also be heard warning the driver that the only reason he isn’t beating him up is because he doesn’t want to go to prison.
Eventually, police officers were seen approaching the bus.
In a statement, Malta Public Transport condemned the assault, stating it took place in Paola at around 11am on Route 81 en route to Valletta.
This is the third case of abuse against a foreign bus driver on Malta’s roads in the past two days.
