Watch: Peppi Azzopardi – ‘Good Chance Bernard Grech Can Become Prime Minister’
Praising the results of last weekend’s election, Peppi Azzopardi said there is a “good chance” that Bernard Grech can become the next Prime Minister of Malta.
“The result shows that the PN can definitely win a general election,” Azzopardi said during a NET discussion. “The PN is in the game now, it is playing the game, and you should be happy about it because finally there is a good chance that Bernard Grech could become the Prime Minister of Malta.”

Azzopardi criticised Prime Minister Robert Abela’s approach to the Vitals inquiry and his focus on when magistrate Gabriella Vella concluded it.
“I was jokingly going to write that it is such a shame that the EU chose to hold the election on Bernard Grech’s birthday. We trivialised this issue so much – rather than discussing the context and the evidence, we ended up discussing the timing. Luckily the people didn’t believe this narrative.”
