Watch: Peppi Azzopardi – Next Time Ministries Call To Ask If You Need Anything, Make Them Sign This

It is common practice for ministry staff to call households asking whether they need anything prior to elections but Peppi Azzopardi has now come up with a declaration to bind them to their word.

The broadcaster said he came up with this idea after hearing stories of ministries promising people things they are entitled to, but failing to follow up on these promises once the election was concluded.

“A couple told me that they kept telling rejecting these requests, but when a ministry called them for a third time, they decided to request something related to their daughter… something legal that they are entitled to,” Azzopardi said.

“However, after the election, the ministry never called them up again. Not only that, but the family tried to call them back but didn’t get a response.”

“It’s not right to make these promises without following up on them, which is why I came up with this declaration.”

“The next time a ministry or an MP calls you to ask if you need something, ask them to sign a declaration that they will serve you. If they don’t want to sign and you still believe him, then… well, I wouldn’t believe him, as if.”

Will you send this declaration to a ministry the next time they ask you if you need something?
