Watch: PN Uses ChatGPT To Challenge Robert Abela’s Claim Of Victory In Steward Case
The Nationalist Party has turned to ChatGPT to try to counter Prime Minister Robert Abela’s claim that the government triumphed in the Steward arbitration case.
In a video uploaded by PN’s Net News, a journalist asked ChatGPT for its political leanings (Chat said it’s neutral) before asking the AI if it’s true that “Malta won”.
The AI bot said it’s “complex” since the nullification of the concessions meant that neither the government nor Steward had to pay the other side the huge compensation they were requesting.
“It’s more like a mixed result – they avoided a big payout but they didn’t come out completely on top either. So I’d say it’s more false than true to say they won,” the response said.
However, when the journalist asked it who the loser was, the AI said that the Maltese government lost since they didn’t get the multi-million compensation they were after and have to pay Steward a smaller amount instead.
