Watch: Portugal Just Won Eurovision Song Contest With This Class Act

Portugal has won tonight’s Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with a standout performance of Amar Pelos Dois (Love For Two), sung by Salvador Sobral and written by his sister, Luisa.
Salvador invited Luisa on stage for his winning performance, turning the heartfelt song into a magical duet.
Bulgaria placed second and Moldova placed third. For the second time in Eurovision history, the televoting and jury votes were announced separately, creating a nail-biting ending even though Portugal won both votes in the end.
Tonight’s show also included some choice moments, such as when a streaker upstaged last year’s winner Jamala with a full moon – not to mention the moment the UK’s singer pulled an Ira Losco with a glitter bomb kiss for the cameras.
But it was Portugal’s melodic ballad that stole everybody’s attention.
1st Place – Portugal
Portugal’s star Salvador Sobral, 27, may have stole the show but there were some fears earlier this week that he would not be able to participate in the first place.
Salvador reportedly has a heart condition that meant he couldn’t leave Portugal in time for initial rehearsals. His sister, Luisa, stood in for him during technical rehearsals, while Salvador arrived in time for the first semi-final, according to Radio Times.

2nd – Bulgaria
3rd – Moldova
Malta did not make it to tonight’s grand final which was held in Kiev, Ukraine, but the Maltese public was represented during the tele-voting segment by model Martha Fenech who announced our 12 points to Italy.
Italy
Malta was this year represented by Claudia Faniello whose song Breathlessly failed to qualify at this week’s semi-finals.
