Amid the proposed amendments regarding abortion, tensions are rising between the head of Opposition Bernard Grech and Prime Minister Robert Abela.

Doorstopped by NET News earlier this morning, Abela made clear his opinion on the comments Grech made in Parliament last night regarding the new abortion amendment.

He insisted that the head of the Nationalist Party was being misogynistic in his speech, especially considering last week’s events concerning Bernice Cassar’s murder and the current political climate.

He refused to clarify whether Cassar’s murder was in fact a femicide, but continued to state that he was utterly disappointed and shocked at Grech’s comments, claiming that they were both misogynistic and disparaging to women.

Do you believe Bernard Grech was out of line with his speech?
